Bon profit!

It’s beetroot season! And cooking a cream with it is both delicious and comforting, especially in this time of the year.

It’s a very simple cream with a lot of properties. I just discovered the black garlic. I have never been able to eat white garlic because it makes me feel a little sick. But this great ingredient just melts in your mouth! It’s soft in the inside and has a sweet and a vinegary flavor. Actually it has nothing to do with white garlic. It also has a lot of antioxidant properties and provides you with lots of energy, so it’s perfect for eating first thing in the morning before breakfast.
For this cream I used black garlic as a substitute for the white one. First I stir-fried it a little just to have a touch of flavour. Next, I peeled it and then I cut a couple of beetroots and put them on the same pan, and fried them for two minutes before covering the whole thing with chicken soup. I let it boil until the beetroot was well-cooked. Then I whipped it until I had the consistency I liked.

I recommend to add small pieces of nori seaweed to it. That’s how I like to eat it!
