bon profit!

Whenever I have vegetables left in the fridge I try and see if I can re-use them to cook a new cream.

There’s always artichoke in our kitchen, so that goes always in my creams. And this week we had green asparagus as well! So I combined both and, since I love to add spices in my creams, I decided to put turmeric this time. Turmeric tinges everything with this wonderful dark yellow, and it has a lot of magical properties too. It helps to protect your liver and it’s a great anti-inflammatory. I added a big spoonful of it.

Since we have our crockpot I can cook while I sleep, so to say. I put all the ingredients inside including the turmeric, and I also added homemade vegetable soup (you can use chicken soup), enough that all the vegetables are covered with it. The whole thing was cooked after six hours in low temperature. I blended it first thing in the morning and the cream was ready!

For this cream I used the following ingredients / quantities:

· 4 artichokes. Make sure to use only the hearts
· A handful of green asparagus
· 1 big spoonful of turmeric
· 0,5 l of chicken soup or vegetable soup

bon profit!
